Job responsibilities:
To receive and make outbound calls to remote project locations and provide confident, clear and concise information.
To remotely operate online survey software and monitor the data quality to ensure required specification is achieved. Taking immediate corrective action where required
To proactively plan and supervise survey activities.
To champion remote services within Fugro
Maintain up-to date and accurate vessel information and comprehensive hand-over notes.
Conduct reporting and processing where required.
To ensure that all onshore and offshore activities are carried out with the highest regard to the health and safety of all involved to the protection of the environment and prevention of pollution.
Shows and applies genuine management commitment and exemplary leadership to deepen and strengthen our safety culture, with a specific focus on ensuring new developments drive down HSSE risk.
Ensure that all staff involved in implementation and pilots continuously apply the Fugro values, complying with the Code of Conduct and adhering to the Fugro Live Saving Rules by securing a healthy and safe working environment.
Monitor and manage project execution of Remote Operations projects/support.
Ensure effective communication between service line project teams and the remote operations team, focused on project success.
Commit to comply and continuously improve standardisation and best practice of OARS Command Centre
You bring (qualifications & experience)
8-15 years working experience as a surveyor.
Appropriate qualifications and experience to operate a similar or equivalent size/type commercial manned vessel for the area of operation.
M.Sc. or B.Sc. level in Survey Sciences
Ability to board vessels, enter confined spaces with limited visibility and have the ability to climb up and down stairs and/or ladders of varying heights to complete the job or inspections.
Physically and medically qualified to wear required personal protective equipment.
Must be able to work indoors and outdoors under all weather conditions. The position occasionally requires work in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme heat, near moving mechanical parts and includes occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions and to vibration.
